Journal of the Science of Agriculture, Food Technology and Environment, aims at publishing original research works and critical reviews on inter disciplinary studies in Agriculture, Food and Environment interface. The Journal will also encourage publications of manuscripts of original scientific research which provides practical solutions to contemporary problems in Agriculture, Food, and Environment including such area as: Crop Science and Technology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Animal Sciences, Soil Science, Plant and Animal Breeding, Food Science and Technology, Food Safety and Toxicology, Agricultural Economics and Extension, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Agro- Forestry, Environmental Contamination and Management, Biodiversity, Biogenetics and allied disciplines.
Only original, unpublished articles not under consideration for publication elsewhere should be submitted. Articles must be technically sound and written in English. The review of manuscript is extensive, meticulous and thorough. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Journal's standards and instructions. Manuscripts should be typed single line spaced using Time New Roman font 10 points and fully justified with all margins set at 2.54cm each. Pages should not be numbered but text should appear in sequence. Each sectional heading should be bold and left justified. The text should begin on the next line after each heading.
The text should be organized under the following subsections in bold lowercase letters:
This should bear the title of the paper, the author(s) Name(s) and address. The title should be unambiguous and concise. The name and address of the correspondence author should be written at the foot of the page.
Maximum of 200 words to present brief summary of the export.
Three to six keywords should be provided for indexing purposes. Keywords should not be taken from the title or abstract.
Provide background information to the problem your study addressed; stating the reason(s) why you carried out the study, the problems and objectives . (Study Area) Where applicable state where the work was done, including the biophysical characteristics of the area. Provide a map where necessary using line art drawings on white background. Coloured scanned or photographed maps are not acceptable.
To include a description of approaches, equipment and tools used. Procedures carried out should be clearly explained.
This should be separated from discussion and should concisely present data of findings. Illustrative data such as graphs should be processed using Microsoft Excel before transferring to Word; while tables should be placed as addendum after references (see section on Tables).
Findings of the study should be clearly outlined and should give precise explanation of findings, also relate it with the findings of others; giving reasons for similarities or differences.
The implications of your findings should be stated.

Those cited in the text should follow the Author- Date System i.e. last name of author (year) for single author, author and author (year) for two authors, author et al. (year) for three or more authors. Use authors pers.comm. for personal communication with authors; in press can be used if manuscript referred to has been accepted for publication and is in the process of being published. If the manuscript is unpublished or awaiting review by a Journal it could be cited as (author, unpublished data)
In the reference section list references alphabetically (APA reference style). The reference must include author(s), year of publication, full title of paper, Journal volume and page numbers. Journal titles should be italicized. Examples of presentation formats for cited articles from journal, proceeding, books and chapter in book are given below.
